The Irish Government is committed to the development of an Inclusive
Information Society. Initiatives undertaken over recent years have
resulted in the provision of significant Broadband Infrastructure and
services nationally and in international broadband connectivity.
These
initatives have been driven by a recognition of the increasing importance
of the Information Society in promoting economic and social development and
cohesion in the future.
This site is designed to provide pertinent
information on these initiatives and the broadband projects which resulted
from them.
